After the beneficial effects of a full morning doing Nordic walk, let yourself be tempted by a gastronomic experience with typical products in an old sheep barn.

Excursion program:

At 8 a.m. we will leave the hotel in off-road vehicles. Our destination is a high valley (2.000 meter peak) where the fields and the “orris” (old installations used to milk the sheep and make cheese) still witness the agricultural and cattle breeder activity. After a brief explanation on practising Nordic walking, we will go through a path that will take us to the heart of a large and secret pine forest.  Absorbed inside a mysterious atmosphere, we will cross the habitat of the capercaillies, woodpeckers, owls, roe deer, isards…) and maybe even view some of them.

We will be serving lunch at a genuine sheep barn; you will enjoy the typical products from Andorra. We will arrive back to the Hotel at around 4 p.m.

Nature lovers, regular or casual walkers, families (children over 8 years old), groups of friends, teenagers and adults of any age… this trek is interesting and may surprise you.
This outing is very easy and doesn’t involve abrupt slopes. The difference in altitude is low, but we can adapt the route to your possibilities and your wishes, selecting a longer or shorter track. The duration of the walking time will be between 2 and 3 hours.
The weather in the Pyrenees is famous for its changes! From June to September, temperatures are usually high during the day (Mediterranean influence), but normally after a shower temperatures cool down, especially in altitudes. Temperatures may vary a lot in only 24 hours. From September to November, early morning temperatures can easily fall below zero.
In June, July and August, we recommend to take a fleece (even if we don’t use it), and also a waterproof and wind breaker jacket, a cap, sunglasses and solar cream. As regards the shoes, you have to wear good walking shoes with non-slip soles such as Vibram type. You also need a rucksack to carry all the material and clothes. From September to November, you will need gloves, a hat, an anorak and extra warm clothes. And of course, don’t forget your binoculars (if you have them), your camera and some water!
Meals, trip, guide, taxes, walking poles: all included.
